The holidays are upon us, and candy and yummy food are on the brain. That is why we are discussing our favorite Halloween traditions when it comes to cuisine.
There are many things that come to mind when the fall approaches: pumpkin spice lattes, hot chocolate, apple pie; you name it and our minds are thinking about it. So we decided to ask the office what they think about when the fall season comes around.
Sip Sip Hurray
Drinks are something that can start our day, end it, or bring people together. They can be warm, cold, or held between two hands. Here at jWeb, the drinks that bring us together with those we love come from a warmer side in the fall.
Our drinks of choice? We start with a nice warm coffee with honey in the morning, maybe a caramel latte or two. Then we move onto a nice apple cider or oatmeal coffee stout with our lunch. But to finish the day, we sip on some apple pie moonshine or bourbon. All bringing the fall taste to our mouths and pleasing our stomachs.
Let’s Get This Bread
There are many options as far as what we consider staples of our fall. Here at jWeb, our taste buds go crazy when we smell any sort homemade bread, such as olive or pumpkin bread. But we also love a good cheese Danish. And while it may not be the same, stuffing is a favorite around here with it’s delicious bread base.
Something That Warms the Stomach & The Heart
Would you rather get warm with a bowl of soup or a bowl full of chili? Well after taking a poll, it seems that those in our office are big fans of chili. Some like it with beef, some with ground turkey, some with macaroni noodles, and some with a peanut butter sandwich on the side. But then there are a few of us who can’t help themselves when it comes to tomato soup, hearty beef stew, or a good gumbo. Either way, we definitely fill our stomachs with something good to eat.
And Finally, Dessert
Everyone knows that there is always room for dessert. So, after all the drinks, bread, and chili, we can never refuse something sweet. Our favorites? You can’t go wrong with a solid apple, cherry or pumpkin pie. Maybe even a couple pieces of Reese’s or mellow cream pumpkins on the side. But we can’t forget the classic Pillsbury Ready to Bake Cookies with pumpkins and ghosts on them.
With all the food that surrounds us throughout the year, the fall is a time when we remember those foods that make us happy or bring us together with family and friends. These foods, are the ones that stand out to us here at jWeb, and we can’t wait to continue to eat them all fall long.
